Who May Need to Wait or Avoid a Peel
A chemical peel may not be suitable at this time if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding (unless approved by your provider)
- Have active skin infections, open wounds, or cold sores
- Have recently experienced sunburn or excessive sun exposure
- Are currently using Accutane (isotretinoin) or have used it within the past 6–12 months
- Have recently had laser treatments, microneedling, or aggressive exfoliation
- Have a compromised skin barrier, eczema flare-ups, or severe sensitivity
- Are unable to follow required pre- or post-care instructions

PRE-PEEL PREPARATION (7 DAYS BEFORE)
To ensure safe results and even exfoliation, please follow these guidelines:
- Discontinue retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, and benzoyl peroxide
- Avoid waxing, threading, or laser in the treatment area
- Minimize sun exposure and wear SPF daily
- Avoid tanning beds and self-tanners
- Keep skin hydrated and barrier-supported

POST-PEEL CARE (VERY IMPORTANT)
After your peel, your skin is in a renewal phase.
- Use only gentle cleanser and approved products
- Apply SPF daily (reapply every 2–3 hours)
- Avoid heat, sweating, sauna, and workouts for 48 hours
- Do NOT pick, peel, or exfoliate flaking skin
- Avoid actives until cleared by your esthetician
